Wishlist #1

This is the first of many wishlists which i will be posting and therefore sharing with you. These are a few of the items that i have been eyeing up for a while and am saving up to hopefully purchase in the upcoming future; I have rectly been offered a job meaning that i now have more money to spend on myself.

Quite a few months ago i visited London and went to the American Apparel store; i tried on the disco pants and was stunned at how amazing they looked and how they suited my figure.  I am currently trying to justify the price tag, but I’m sure when i next visit London i will finally purchase them after months of wanting them! £74

I have been loving the style and look of the skater dresses and also skirts for a while; I came across this skirt when I was shopping in River Island. I love the style of it; the on trend polka dots and also the autumy colour. The price of this skirt is at an affordable price of £18.I think i could create some really lovely outfits with this skirt!

This time last year, healed chealsea boots were every where; I unfortunatly never got a chance to pick any up however I have seen many youtube lookbooks featuring them and I just need a pair in my life! I discovered this pair on Ebay for only £21.99 – the choice between Swede or Faux Leather.

O.P.I Nail Lacquer

For a couple of months I had been on the look for a glitter nail colour; I wanted a good brand, with lots of different coloured glitter packed into it, however I couldn’t find one in any of the drugstores I was looking in. When I travelled to America, of course this was top of my shopping list. The Cost of O.P. I Nail Lacquers in the UK are £11 – extremely pricey in my opinion however when I was in Wal-Mart I found them at $7 (£5!!) I couldn’t believe how much they were! Plus, they had this colour, the ‘dream’ colour I had been searching for.

The Lacquer I picked up is a Nicole by O.P.I (Kardashian Kolor) in the colour Rainbow in the S-kylie. Every time I have been painting my nails I have applied this on my ring finger as I think it looks really pretty and not to over the top. It is such the perfect colour, packed with lots of glitter; you only need two coats to cover your whole finger.  I love how it different lights the different pieces of glitter shine different colours creating a magnificent colour however it also means that it will go with almost any colour nail polish. I really enjoy applying this over the top of colours as it always makes them look unique. This lacquer does not chip for at least 5 days meaning you can wear any type of nail polish underneath and it will stay perfect. I am looking forward to purchasing a few more colours in the near future.

Summer Snaps

I have been debating whether to do a similar post to the "Month in Pictures" however I missed the end of June/July/August so I thought I would do my own "Summer in Pictures" inspired post.

We were told that this would be the best summer we would have; finishing exams early, therefore a longer summer to have fun and relax. Before I wrote this post I genuinely thought I hadn't done much this summer however looking back now, it turns out I really have.

This first picture was taken on the day I took my last GCSE exam; around the 27th of June. I had seen my boyfriend in the day and then my best friend in the evening when we had a celebratory meal at Nando's.
A couple of days later tonsillitis caught the better of me and unfortunately was told I had to take 16 penicillin pills a day! I guess it was fortunate that I had tonsillitis as my prom was at the end of the week; I lost around a stone as I hadn't been eating all week meaning I was more in shape for my end of year prom.I had such a lovely time that night; getting ready, having my friends round and then the prom itself. I really enjoyed that night, defiantly a night that will stay with me forever. As soon as got home from the prom (around midnight) I had to go straight to sleep due to an early wake up the next day; i was heading to the land of fire and ice! (ICELAND)

This trip was a six day/five night trip with mine and also the year above's geography class. During the trip we were taken to various mountains, geezers and waterfalls and participated in glacier walking, white water rafting, swimming in the blue lagoon and also horse riding on Icelandic horses - surprisingly! This was the first time I had ever been abroad without my parents but also the first time I had been to Iceland; one of my hopes for the upcoming future would be to revisit this exquisite and unique wonder of the world.I had a few weeks in England after i arrived home from Iceland; most was spent spending time with my boyfriend and various friends.

On August 1st, I was lucky enough to have gone to the London 2012 Olympics with my dad. We made a day of it; walking around the Olympic village and taking in the exhilarating atmosphere. Our tickets were to see the Men’s Final 3m Springboard diving! Our seats were pretty good; we had a great view and I loved the once in a life time experience.

A week after I flew to Arizona, America with my parents for our family holiday; i could write a whole different post explaining everything we did so i will briefly describe what we did. First off, it was the best holiday i have ever been on; i have been fortunate enough to travel a lot but Arizona absolutely blew me away! A helicopter over the Grand Canyon, Jeep Rides through Sedona and Monument Valley, a boat trip along Lake Powell and lots of lovely hot weather. I cannot justify how memorable and special it was but if you get a chance to go, GO!

My Summer finished with a high, receiving my GCSE results; as soon as i had opened that envelope i was ecstatic! I had achieved everything that i wanted and even better, it really did make my summer! I have also been offered two part time jobs so between you and me, I’m really happy with my life at the moment :) that’s pretty much what happened this summer, how did yours go?

Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover

Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover: Boots/ Superdrug (£4.99)
After hearing from a friend that Bourjois had launched a new nail polish remover that was supposedly meant to remove polish in “1 Second” I was extremely eager to try it out. I was overly excited to try this product as it was something that I know I would use quite frequently; due to the fact that I absolutely love painting my nails!

I originally thought the retail price of £4.99 was a bit expensive however after using it and discovering how superb it was, I now believe the price is suitable for such a wonderful and unique product. The concept of this product is to remove all types of polish, even those that are difficult to remove such as glitters in simply 1 second. It contains a nail polish remover soaked foam pad with a hole in the top enabling you to insert your finger; ready for it to be wiggled. During the removal of your finger, it feels saturated with the product and I find it leaves a residue however this can simply be washed off in a matter of seconds. Although it may remove one coat of polish in 1 second it doesn’t remove all signs of polish meaning you will need to re wiggle. However this is not a problem as even with second wiggling it is still much quicker than a standard nail polish remover.

I have been using this product for a good few months now and have not seen a negative difference in the product. Although i am sure it will eventually dry up, it has lasted well so far!I would defiantly recommend getting your hands on such a unique product; it has certainly been a great help to me.

Tag | How much does my face cost?

Want to know my daily makeup routine?  And how much my face costs? Well carry on reading and we shall see : )

My ‘face’ consists of a balance between drugstore and also higher end makeup, as you will read below. I tend to spend more on a foundation; not only is it the base of your makeup, it is the product which has the most contact with your skin. If a foundation is not suited to you, or it is on the cheaper side, it can cause breakouts, dry skin and irritation. This is my usual makeup routine; the blush/eye shadows and lipstick are usually only different if I am going out or at a special occasion. If you would like to purchase or read/find out more information about any of the products mentioned I have linked websites to the prices of each item. *If you would like me to write a post about my daily face routine just comment down below*

Review: Wet 'n' Wild Megalast Nail Color

A couple of weeks ago while I was in America, I had a few chances to go to Walgreens to pick up a few items I had been longing for, for a while. Of course loving makeup as much as I do, I was in there a while picking and choosing different products that I wished to purchase. I was somehow drawn to the ‘wet n wild’ stand; I came away with a few of the mega last nail colours.
These polishes retail for $1.99 (around £1.50) for a 0.45fl.oz./13.5 ml product; in my opinion certainly great value products. I did pop into a few different Walgreens and discovered that the colour selection isn’t great; only around 10. Many of the colours in the collection would beautifully accent any look adding sophistication and class.  I was extremely surprised how long lasting and opaque these colours are; providing up to 5 days of chip-resistant wear; why wouldn’t you buy them! The colours come with a new, unique, full coverage brush that glides on smooth in one stroke application meaning an easier and also quicker application.
From left to right 205B ‘Sugar Coat’, 206C ‘Undercover’, 218A ‘I Need a Refresh-Mint’, ‘Clear Top Coat’
my favourite being ‘I Need a Refresh-Mint’
Unfortunately wet n wild is not sold in the UK however I am hoping to purchase the rest next February in San Francisco. Also links below where to buy online:
